POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the Company’s general ledger. Working under the direction of the VP/CFO, the Accounting Manager directs and coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the Company. The candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter with supervisory, review, and proofing experience. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for preparing monthly, and annual financial statements, monthly budgets/forecasts, and coordinating the Company’s annual review by both an independent CPA firm, and independent Valuation firm for the ESOP.

The Accounting Manager provides leadership, direction, and supervision to the accounting department. Regular communication with the VP/Chief Financial Officer and the President is required in order to prioritize activities and optimize resource allocations.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (list is not comprehensive):

  • Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Company’s general
  • Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, ).
  • Cash management (including placement/movement of funds in various accounts).
  • Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document financial
  • Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other Company personnel in resolving financial
  • Reviews general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of
  • Produces financial reports involving the Company’s accounts for quarterly board
  • Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
  • Produces quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial
  • Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS | REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with accounting principles and procedures, especially in the construction field.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on accounting required.
  • At least five years of experience in the area of financial statement preparation, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, or the equivalent.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing employee services, policies and programs. Working collaboratively with the Director of Operations and the VP/CFO, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for all employee activities, documents and compliance. Regular communication with the VP/CFO and the President is required in order to prioritize activities and optimize resource allocations. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (list is not comprehensive):

  • Manage recruiting and staffing, employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training;
  • Maintain employee personnel files, respond and comply with garnishments, support orders, etc.
  • Supervise, direct, and review employee compensation and benefits administration;
  • Coordinate performance management and improvement systems;
  • Maintain and communicate current employee regulations and compliance;
  • Maintain policy development and documentation;
  • Manage employee relations and company communication;
  • Oversee employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health services/counseling;
  • Obtain cost-effective, employee-service benefits, working directly with the VP/CFO;
  • Monitor the national benefits environment for options and cost savings;
  • Create and execute benefit orientations and training for employees and their families;
  • Recommend changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.

LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure company compliance with all existing governmental organizations;
  • Review and fulfill reporting requirements, including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT) and so forth;
  • Maintain minimal company exposure to lawsuits and minimize risk;
  • Prepare information requested or required for legal compliance, and approve all information submitted;
  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Design, direct and manage a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management;
  • Manage employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Internet use;
  • Identify and monitor the company’s culture so that it supports company goals and promotes employee satisfaction;
  • Keep the executive team informed of problems that could jeopardize the achievement of company goals, and those that are not being addressed adequately at the lower management level;
  • The Human Resources Manager will assume other responsibilities as assigned by the VP/CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years’ experience Human Resources supervision, or management;
  • Expert knowledge of Excel REQUIRED.

with boom truck, mobile hydraulic, all-terrain, rough terrain, and/or crawler experience.  Our typical work includes steel erection, commercial/residential HVAC, mechanical, industrial, construction, mining, tree work, entertainment, and communications towers.

with an interest in learning how to operate and getting their NCCCO.  Our fleet includes trailers, lowboys and fuel trucks that will allow you to work closely with an operator as you gain experience and work towards your certification.

The Crane & Heavy Equipment Technician will maintain and repair cranes, trucks, trailers and other equipment as needed. This position requires you to be able to repair any part on a crane, truck, trailer, etc. and you are able to work safely around moving heavy equipment, and in adverse weather conditions. Link-Belt computer knowledge is preferred. Must be willing to learn new computer systems through continuing education.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • 3 years of heavy duty mechanical experience
  • Hydraulic system repair and troubleshooting
  • Dependable and willing to work late nights and weekends
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Knowledge of electrical systems (12 Volt & 24 Volt)
  • Must comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and operate a personal computer
  • Must have the ability to work safely and effectively with little supervision
  • Ability to weld is preferred (certifications required to weld)
  • Good driving record preferred
